Somewhere in my rotten car lies a rotten tape with "Mooney" scribbled on it, smiling when i put my lazy rotten bones in that rotten seat. My sister said one day "At least free your rotten ears" and threw it at me. It still works with my rotten tape machine. All i need to escape a rotten day. Love my sister. Thank you!

John-Sad to say I just googled you name for the first time after listining to that first cd in the car for the zillionith time today! I may go back farther than most. I remember going into a small club outside Rochester NY in the mid 70's and seeing you with a guitar and a piano player and a stand up bass and thinking I had never heard blues so awesome. That was still to my ears the best I have ever heard...all the best to you.
If I remember you may even be from up there in a little place called Honeoy Falls?

Hey! Good luck in London. Haven't seen JM play since some summer outdoor blues fest outside Baltimore. First time I saw him was at the Haunt in Ithaca NY right after the Testimony album came out. Here's hoping he comes out to the Pac NW some time soon!

New records, even just live ones, are always welcome too!

Hello Mr. Mooney,
Many years ago i buyed a CD of your music (late last night - i hear it while i'm writing this). long time it was my favourite CD. Then i couldn't found it and now, when i was looking for my old music, i found it and heard you again. I love your cool and relaxed blues. It's not to slow and not to fast. Your guitar-playing is fantastic, but also you have a cool voice. I will buy your other music, because i am very interested of your musical way in the last years. (Sorry for my bad English)
Greetings from Germany
PS: What happened to your Hair? :-))

John,
Where y'at. I just got back from Norway, and you are a star over there. Everybody with a guitar is trying to play like you. Come sit in with us at Le Bon temps on the 28th of August. It'd be cool to see you again. Grayson

About ten years ago I purchased "Against the Wall" and it still moves me today like no other CD has. The Boom Boom Room was fun - would love to see you again.

Used to see John play at the Red Creek and occasionally hold forth at parties at our house, way back in the late '70s.

Great shows! Sad to say haven't seen him play since....

Just introduced my wife to his music. She can't believe how great it is. Wish he would come to Buffalo some time especially since he has roots in Western NY.
